What is Click Through Rate?

What is Click Through Rate?

How many people click on a  link, as a percentage of the total number of people that saw the link.

Click-through rate (CTR) is a metric used to measure the effectiveness of digital advertising. CTR is calculated as the number of clicks on an ad divided by the number of times the ad was shown (impressions). For example, if an ad was displayed 100 times and received 2 clicks, the CTR would be 2%.

CTR is a useful metric for advertisers as it indicates how well their ad is performing and how effectively it is attracting clicks. A high CTR means that a large percentage of people who saw the ad found it relevant and clicked on it, while a low CTR may indicate that the ad was not well targeted or not compelling enough to drive clicks. CTR is commonly used to evaluate the performance of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, and display advertising campaigns.
